Stoxlo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates stoxlo.net and related applications as a research and analysis platform for the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. Our Terms of Service also govern your use of the Service.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly — for example when you create an account, update your profile, contact us, maintain a watchlist or portfolio, upload a broker statement PDF for portfolio import, or send messages to our AI assistant (such as your name, email address, account credentials, holdings and symbols you enter, uploaded files, and chat content).
  • Information stored on your device to operate the Service — such as sign-in tokens and display preferences, as described in the Cookies and local storage section below.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
  • Process your requests, including market views, screening, portfolio and watchlist features, portfolio PDF imports you submit, and AI assistant responses.
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including support and administrative messages.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the Service and address technical issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers who perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, authentication, data storage, AI processing to operate the assistant, and a payment processor when you purchase a paid plan), subject to contractual obligations to protect your information.
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Stoxlo, our users, or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

AI and automated processing

When you use our AI assistant, the content you submit (such as questions and related context) is processed by automated systems to generate responses. Responses are not reviewed by humans before delivery, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and should not be relied on as financial or investment advice. Do not include sensitive information in prompts unless you are comfortable with it being processed for this purpose.

Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. To run the Service, we may store information in your browser, including:

  • Local storage — for preferences such as theme (light or dark mode).
  • Cookies — only where needed for basic interface behavior (for example, sidebar layout).

Children's privacy
